2 skaters going to Western Ontario STARSkate Championship
Good luck Meaghan and Bianca who are going to the Western Ontario STARSkate Championship this weekend in Fort Erie.
If there is a snowstorm, please listen to local radio and television stations for closures. Assume we still have a skating class unless the city of Hamilton closes arenas. This is the link to the City of Hamilton's website: http://www.hamilton.ca
If we can, we try to post closures on our Facebook page and website.

We have a new board of directors
At the May 14th annual general meeting, we chose a new board of directors after several members resigned. Our new president is Joanne Lastella. A special thank you to Barb Forbes who served with the board for 10 years as President and Treasurer. We're also sorry to see Sonia Cianciosi move on, who was our Treasurer for several years and Secretary before that. Thank you Nancy Davidson and Debbie Tosello for your service last year as Co-Presidents. More Directors.

Learn to skate—faster!
Watch for changes in the CanSkate program this fall. There is a new curriculum, new awards, and a new look. The new CanSkate skating program will better prepare hockey players, ringette players, figure skaters, and speed skaters by developing stronger basic skills—faster. The result is a dynamic new program that prepares all skaters for virtually every ice sport.
Skate Canada is also proud to have all its programs taught by professional coaches who are specially trained and certified through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP).
Be a part of the fun - join the Glanbrook Skating Club in September and learn to skate with CanSkate!
