Volunteer Fees
Glanbrook Skating Club is a non-profit organization run by dedicated volunteers. All parents of skaters are required to do at least five volunteer hours, or pay an opt-out fee of $75.00 (post-dated March 1, 2019).
Parents can also sell Ticket Books for the club, check out our table for more info. Your participation will ensure that your skaters will have a successful year.
StarSkater parents are strongly encouraged to help out playing music during the junior, intermediate and senior lessons.
CanSkate parents can volunteer by putting toys out, bringing toys in, fundraising, looking after beverages/treats at the Christmas Family Skate, playing music, or helping out with our annual carnival.

Snow Closures

If there is a snowstorm, please listen to local radio and television stations for closures. Assume we still have a skating class unless the city of Hamilton closes arenas. This is the link to the City of Hamilton's website:

Learn to skate—faster!

Watch for changes in the CanSkate program this fall. There is a new curriculum, new awards, and a new look. The new CanSkate skating program will better prepare hockey players, ringette players, figure skaters, and speed skaters by developing stronger basic skills—faster. The result is a dynamic new program that prepares all skaters for virtually every ice sport.

Skate Canada is also proud to have all its programs taught by professional coaches who are specially trained and certified through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP).

Be a part of the fun - join the Glanbrook Skating Club in September and learn to skate with CanSkate!
